This September 2018 the Andrew Simpson Foundation hosted its first annual Bike4Bart Charity cycle ride.

The Bike4Bart Charity Sportive started from the iconic Olympic venue of the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy, Osprey Quay, Portland.

We partnered up with UK Cycling Events to enable riders to tackle three different routes with varied terrain and breath-taking panoramas of the Dorset coast and with wider family activities on offer, it was an incredibly successful event for all ages and abilities!

We partnered up with UK Cycling Events to enable riders to tackle three different routes with varied terrain and breath-taking panoramas of the Dorset coast and with wider family activities on offer, it’s an event for all ages and abilities!

Cycling inland from the Isle of Portland and the home of the Andrew Simpson Foundation, all routes head into Dorset’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with a mixture of spectacular views, leg-pumping climbs and historical scenery. After the riding through the village of Portesham, all routes head to the first big climb of the day up to the Valley of Stones National Nature Reserve.
