Bike4Bart helps to raise awareness of the amazing work that is currently carried out by our team at the Andrew Simpson Foundation. Funds raised helps us to transform the lives of young people through sailing, inspired by Olympic Gold and Silver medalist Andrew ‘Bart’ Simpson MBE who passionately believed that everyone should have the chance to try sailing and enjoy the many benefits that it brings.

Absolutely everything the Foundation does is driven by our belief that all young people have the ability to excel and succeed in life and work. We believe that the challenges of Sailing and Watersports do this by promoting health and well-being and building essential personal skills. We provide opportunities for everyone to get out on the water and we do this by delivering a range of key charitable activities, further enabled through fundraising and partnerships.

“We’re thrilled to bring this incredible event to Portsmouth in 2019 and supported by the local community and Partners across the UK, we can ensure access to a wide range of activities and entertainment for all: Funds raised via Bike4Bart will enable the Andrew Simpson Foundation to continue to reach out and engage with young people around the world to develop their life skills and capabilities by making sailing and watersports accessible, creating a hobby and passion for life.”

Sir Ben Ainslie CBE, founding trustee of the Andrew Simpson Foundation
